Food glorious food - basic tomato gravy -  tomatoes, onions, garlic, Mediterranean herbs like oregano, basil, and others. A pinch of salt and a pinch of sugar or some sweetener like apple juice. 

Fry the onions and garlic, add tinned tomatoes and the herbs/salt/sugar and cook. Cook for at least 3 hours. Bring it to the boil several times, then let it simmer for as long as you can.

Serve with spaghetti and enjoy!

If you have too much sauce for your meal, you can freeze the rest. And its great as a base for curries, other spaghetti dishes like spaghetti bolognese or a pasta bake.
